Yano is quite handsome & is a very nice, thoughtful, caring man. He comes running twice when Suzuki got hurt. As for Suzuki, she is so cute. Just gorgeous. She's really a nice girl. Very tender, very loving, very compassionate. They make a great couple. They are just about to become a real couple, too, as we see at the end of this volume. A number of reviewers gave this poor remarks. I can't for the life of me understand why. It's not like the premise is completely ridiculous. I myself KNOW people from this age group (and older, too) who have ZERO experience with love. It really does happen. People so heavily devote themselves to something, be it a sport, a job, an adventure, what have you, and they put love on the back burner. Then, they go from 18 to 28 without any romantic relationships, and suddenly one day wake up & realize they're lonely, or feel the need to start a family. You know how some women will start talking about their biological clock ticking away? Everything these two go through in this volume is something we ALL went through at some point in life another. We've all clicked teeth, or hugged too hard, or held hands too tightly. It's just most of us, these things happened in junior high or high school. I have a dear friend in his 30's who's never had a girlfriend. He's never even been laid. And not from lack of trying. He's just had terrible luck with love. He's not ugly, rather fairly handsome. He's smart, owns his house outright, bought it when he was in his early 20's, he's got a good job, he's a really nice guy. He just can't get anywhere with women. Lord knows, I've tried to help the lad. I've given him so much advice. I've introduced him to women I know. I've tried taking him on mixers/group dates. He just can't score to save his soul. So, yes, it really CAN happen, going well into adulthood & never being in a relationship. I actually thought that this story is just adorable. It's so sweet how these two want so badly to have a love life. OK, the way they start out is a little, unusual, let's say. But some people really are completely oblivious when it comes to romance. I think these two are starting to get on the right track, though. They've both realized & accepted that the want to not practice being intimate, but rather, do it for real. And now, after the infirmary, it's out in the open between the two of them. However, I suspect, with the way they started, that there will be plenty more trials & tribulations on their road to real love.
